§ 12.10. Condemnation.

The City shall provide by resolution for acquiring by condemnation or otherwise such property and rights as may be required for any public use or purpose within the scope of its powers in the manner prescribed by the statutes of this State. Any property or rights so acquired and no longer needed for the original purpose, at the discretion of the City, may be diverted to any other public use or purpose within the scope of the powers of the City, or may be leased, encumbered, or sold and disposed of in such manner as said City shall prescribe, subject to the limitations imposed by Section M.C.L.A 117.5(e).
